Lab Technician

Laboratory Technician - Oil & Gas Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician to support routine analytical testing within our oil and gas laboratory. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on lab experience and a strong understanding of analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques. Key Responsibilities Perform routine analyses on crude oil, base oils, lube oils, and petrochemical samples Set up, operate, and interpret results from GC and ICP instruments Accurately enter test results into the laboratory LIMS system Follow all safety protocols and adhere to established laboratory SOPs Maintain laboratory inventory, including chemicals, supplies, and consumables Required Skills Laboratory testing and quality control General chemistry and wet chemistry techniques Experience working with crude oil and petrochemical samples Familiarity with GC/ICP instrumentation is highly preferred Top Skills Laboratory Experience Quality Control Chemistry Knowledge Wet Chemistry Techniques Education & Qualifications A.S. or B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field Previous experience in oil and gas laboratory or similar environment HS Diploma or GED equivalent Schedule - 4 days on, 4 days off, rotating days and nights Experience Level Intermediate Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Luling, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
