In this role, you'll collect and process specimens, perform laboratory testing, and help keep results accurate and timely for our patients and providers. What you'll do Collect and process specimens for analysis. Perform laboratory procedures, quality control, calibrations, and equipment maintenance. Enter information accurately in the laboratory information system and maintain required logs and records. Monitor inventory and restock supplies. Follow CLIA and HIPAA requirements. Communicate courteously with patients and work closely with providers and other team members. Qualifications Associate degree in medical technology. Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners MLT license required. Hospital or clinical laboratory testing and phlebotomy experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to work in a busy medical office. The position involves extended periods of standing and walking, possible exposure to infectious specimens, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds with assistance when needed.
