A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

DESCRIPTION
General Function:
This is a non-licensed worker who has had on-the-job training and has demonstrated proficiency and competency in all technician skills. Their primary function is to perform routine patient treatment (to patients of all ages including newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric), which are predetermined by the therapist.
