Rooted in evidence-based practices and person-centered care, SMG's outpatient programs include psychiatric evaluation and medication management, individual and group therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These services are delivered across multiple locations and are tailored to the clinical acuity and recovery goals of each patient, ensuring continuity of care and seamless transitions between levels of support. For patients with co-occurring conditions, those experiencing both mental health challenges and substance use disorders, SMG provides integrated treatment plans that address both diagnoses concurrently. This dual-focus approach is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and licensed therapists who collaborate to deliver coordinated care. By combining clinical excellence with wraparound support, SMG empowers patients to stabilize, recover, and build lasting wellness. Responsibilities Performs routine maintenance on laboratory equipment Set-up of the laboratory equipment for testing Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed Order appropriate laboratory testing as requested by providers Process specimens for reference laboratory testing according to testing requirements Ensure specimens are collected, stored and processed according to testing requirements Cancel and request new samples when integrity is compromised Pick-up specimens from different locations and deliver specimens to the laboratory to ensure testing is performed in a timely manner Ensure patient/specimen identity by confirmation of two identifiers throughout all steps of collection, aliquoting and processing of specimens Communicate issues or significant events to Supervisor Maintain work area stocked, neat, clean and in orderly condition at all times Consistently adheres to established Laboratory and Hospital policies for Universal Precautions, Chemical Hygiene and Safety procedures When handling blood and/or body fluids, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment Commit to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external) Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications No experience required
