Job Description

Job Title:

Laboratory Technologist/ Technologist

Scientific Ops Location:

7 Loveton Circle, Sparks, MD 21152

Duration:

12 months contract (Temp to Perm possibility)

Hours:

Hours-7:00 PM-5:00 AM Monday

  • 5:00 PM for 1 week
Responsibilities:

Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids. Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessary Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements

Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Experience:

High School degree required with 2 years relevant experience in a regulated environment required. Will consider Associate's degree with a scientific degree and no experience.

Basic Skills:

Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills Must be detail-oriented Strong time management skills required Ability to operate independently

Pay:

$20.00

  • $22.

60 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
