Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Silicone Reliability and Project Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the reliability of silicone-based manufacturing processes. This is an entry-level, hands-on role testing silicone formulations and supporting our quality and reliability process- no silicone experience is required, we'll train the right person! This role is the first step of a defined career path toward Senior Technician and Engineer. We value proactive problem-solving, technical excellence, and a passion for continuous improvement. Responsibilities Test experimental silicone formulations, CRI-SIL produced manufacturing formulations, and customer samples; prepare and test customer samples and small production orders. Execute lab test batches and color matching, keeping accurate lab and project records. Perform reliability duties including MRB (Material Review Board) processing, BOM entry, and root cause/corrective action reporting.
Investigate nonconforming batches:
identify probable cause, run retests, calculate corrections, and recommend a disposition to the Technical Manager. Support daily QA testing, calibration, and general lab operations, safely and efficiently. Requirements High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical/science degree a plus, but not required. Comfortable with basic math, including percentages, fractions, decimals, metric conversions, and calculating grams from parts-per-hundred (phr). TESTED Prior lab and/or manufacturing experience a plus; silicone experience preferred but not required- we will train the right person. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Willing and able to use required PPE (including a PAPR respirator) and work in a lab environment involving noise, chemicals, and standing for extended periods; able to lift up to 50lbs. Self-starter with strong communication skills and a safety-first mindset. Physical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, and use hands; occasionally sit. Lift up to 50lbs occasionally. Work in a lab/manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise, fumes, and chemical exposure; PPE provided and required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
