Full Job Description Description:
Receives, accessions and labels biopsies with high accuracy. Assists in specimen disposal, reagent changes and supply restocking. Prepares cassettes for grossing team. Files slides and blocks following lab protocols. Assists in slide drying, cover slipping and transporting of completed slides. Scans slides using the Philips scanner and troubleshoot when there are errors. Cleans and disinfects work areas, equipment surfaces and instruments when asked by the LM. Assists in QA/QC activities and document external errors from clinics. Reconciles all patient information with paperwork from clinics, with high attention to detail.
