Lab Assistant -
Analytical & Environmental Testing Location:
Auburn Hills, MI Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00
PM Pay:
$18/hr to start, with a performance-based increase available after successful completion of 6-month training About the Role Join a fast-paced analytical lab where precision counts every day. As Lab Assistant, you will prepare samples, operate instruments, and support reliable environmental and analytical testing results. This role is ideal for a meticulous individual with a strong science foundation who takes pride in accurate, well-documented work and thrives following clear procedures. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze samples according to established SOPs (asbestos content, microbial testing, fungal identification, ion analysis, drug screening, and general microscopy) Operate laboratory instruments following written protocols Manage inventory: order, track, and maintain supplies, reagents, and consumables Uphold quality, safety, and continuous improvement through consistent adherence to standardized procedures Requirements B.Sc. in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail Proven record-keeping habits and strict adherence to protocols and documentation Comfortable working with hazardous materials Training Full training is provided on all technical procedures.
