Job Description

Garcia Clinical Laboratory is seeking a motivated and adaptable Laboratory Technician to join our evening shift team. This role may involve work across multiple departments, including microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, infectious disease, molecular diagnostics, urinalysis, and flow cytometry. Ideal candidates will be flexible, detail-oriented, and eager to expand their skills in a dynamic clinical laboratory environment. Position is Tuesday through Saturday. Hiring 2nd shift / 3rd shift (Evening/Nights).
Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Perform a broad range of laboratory tests following established protocols and safety standards Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and automated systems Perform daily quality control and routine maintenance procedures Accurately enter and verify test results in the laboratory information system Assist with specimen receipt, processing, and workflow coordination across multiple departments Communicate effectively with supervisory staff regarding technical issues or workload priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree preferred Associate's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science) is required ASCP Certification is preferred, but not required Previous clinical laboratory experience is preferred but not required Willingness to cross-train and work in various testing departments Understanding of laboratory regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP) Strong problem-solving and time-management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain comprehensive clinical lab experience in a supportive and growth-focused setting.
