Job Description

Performs basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies. MISSION, VALUES and

SERVICE GOALS
: Personally connect. Keep everyone informed. Be on their team. Prepares patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures. Performs and documents testing. Monitors patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; scores, interprets and reports results of sleep studies. Prepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs/replacements.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate complies with the following organizational requirements: Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared. Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes. Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes. Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year. Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department. Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self. Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance. Complies with established organization and department policies. Education High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following: Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Working Conditions Works in a clinical environment. Possible walking and standing for long periods of time. Physical Demands Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
