Conducts tests on products, components, and work-in-progress. Tests components, products, or systems under development for conformity to specifications and proper functioning. Documents, analyzes, and communicates test results. Retests as appropriate. Installs, maintains, and operates testing software and equipment. Participates in defining criteria for testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares basic tests by studying test objectives, standards, methods, conditions and equipment. Selects and ensures proper calibration of test equipment required for each specific test. Properly assembles and disassembles components pre- and post-test. Validates product capability and reliability by conducting performance, environmental and operational tests. Documents test outcomes by completing test logs. Collects and documents test data. Maintains safe test environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Maintains test information data base by entering and backing up data. Keeps test equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contributes to engineering and organization success by readily adapting to change; continuously seeking opportunities to improve. All other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
Mechanical skills Mechanical Testing and/or Auto Technician Education - High School Graduate.

Schedule:
2nd or 3rd shift, 10-hour shifts (Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday). Please clearly indicate at the top of the resume which shift the candidate is applying for. Final shift assignment will be determined by the hiring manager.
