Job Description

Category Laboratory - Lab Tech Job Type Contract Advance your career in medical laboratory science as a Medical Lab Technician, a vital role supporting accurate diagnostics and quality patient care for a leading healthcare provider. This is a contract opportunity for skilled Laboratory Tech professionals, offering exposure to cutting-edge lab operations and a collaborative environment.

Shifts:
Seven consecutive nights on/seven off OR four 10-hour shifts (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM) followed by three 12-hour shifts (8:00 PM - 8:30 AM), every other weekend required 36-hour weekly guarantee Start date: May 11, 2026 Contract length: 13 weeks No on-call requirements
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent Associate degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field preferred Recent and relevant experience with laboratory instrumentation, analysis, and reporting Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and independently manage night shift responsibilities Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Duties:
Conduct high-complexity laboratory testing and analyses across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and related disciplines Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to maintain peak performance Review and verify specimen integrity, test results, and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment by following safety protocols and compliance guidelines Participate in quality assurance, proficiency testing, and continuous process improvement activities
