2nd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM 10% shift diff would be added once candidate starts Position Summary The Organization is seeking a Lab Assistant I to support laboratory operations at its Saint Paul location. The ideal candidate will be technician-ready and comfortable working in a laboratory environment while following established procedures for specimen handling, processing, and safety. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily laboratory operations and specimen processing. Receive, identify, label, and prepare specimens according to established procedures. Perform specimen handling and processing accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate documentation and records. Follow laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Use laboratory equipment and supplies appropriately. Work collaboratively with laboratory staff and other team members. Follow HIPAA, PPE, and infection-control requirements as applicable. Perform additional laboratory support duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM. Ability to work onsite in Saint Paul, MN. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures. Color vision is required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous laboratory or specimen-processing experience. Previous experience as a Lab Assistant or laboratory technician. Experience with specimen handling and processing. Experience working in a clinical laboratory environment. Candidates who are technician-ready are preferred. Compliance Requirements Hepatitis B vaccination is preferred; candidates may choose vaccination or sign a declination. Flu and COVID vaccination are not required. Negative THC screening is not required. Color vision is required.
