Job Description
Job Overview:
The R&D Technician supports research and development activities by assisting with rapid prototyping, preparing, and cleaning parts, and working with the materials lab to support testing and development efforts. This role also contributes to maintaining an organized and safe shop environment through cleanup and general support tasks, helping ensure efficient and timely execution of R&D projects. Highlights of your role:
Assist with rapid prototyping and R&D project support. Prepare, clean, and handle parts for testing and development. Support materials lab activities and basic testing tasks. Sample preparation, testing and data collection. Maintain clean, organized, and safe shops and lab areas. Operate basic shop and laboratory equipment safely! Perform general R&D support duties as assigned. You're a good fit if you have (or if you can): High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree is preferred Working knowledge of tools (chop saw, table saw, drill press, etc.) required Must be able to obtain forklift and cushman licenses Window and door related experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) preferred Must be willing and able to participate in, and contribute to a team environment and possess self-motivation and be dependable and trustworthy Must have proficient organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities Accommodations may be made (whenever reasonably possible) to enable an individual with a disability to perform the essential functions of his/her position.
