Job Summary and Qualifications The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) conduct s routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease. What you will do in this role: You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections. You will p roduce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designa ted. You will m aintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equi pment function through routine maintenanc e and monitoring quality control measures and protocols. What q ualifications y ou w ill n eed: Associates Degree in laboratory science or related science required OR Associates Degree with sufficient Biology and Chemistry coursework required Experience preferred MLT (ASCP), CLT (NCA) or equivalent certification required OR registry/certification eligible Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire Benefits Belton Regional Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
