Job Description
Pay range: 19-26/hr
- depending on exp
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Challenge existing methods and drive improvements for higher throughput, higher quality, and improved integration with existing production methods
- Support engineering and science teams researching and constructing innovative solutions
- Support the development, construction, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems for domestic and international laboratory, production, and agricultural environments
- Support the startup and functional testing of working prototypes to validate system performance compared to requirements.
- Collaborate with Safety departments to comply with company and industry safety and design standards .
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Associate Degree or B.Sc.in Engineering/Science
- 1-3 yrs. experience
- Basic knowledge constructing and testing electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience in laboratory environments, preparing samples, collecting and managing data
- Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Working effectively with more than one supervisor
- Experience using standard office productivity software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Willing to work on-site full time
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of time Experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Experience using a broad range of fabrication and assembly tools/equipment; hand, power, soldering, cutting, welding, grinding, and drilling
- Experience using electrical test equipment; digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- PCB component level soldering and troubleshooting
- Programming and using single-board microcontrollers/computers
- Programming with higher-level languages
- Operating milling and drilling machines, and lathes
