Job Description

SUMMARY:
Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Micro-Lab to ensure aseptically collected and prepared samples of various microbial and chemical analyses using established procedures and techniques. Duties include evaluating and verifying sample results and data entry.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 TO WORK AT TRIUMPH FOODS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following : Other duties may be assigned. Aseptically collect and prepare samples for various microbial and chemical analyses. Perform laboratory analysis using established procedures and techniques. Evaluate and verify sample results and data entry. Ensure safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards are maintained.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college (preferably in a science-related field); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of basic laboratory techniques is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Driver's license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents in the English language, such as laboratory protocols, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to work as a team member and individually complete given tasks. Must be organized and detail-oriented.

: The physical demands here represent those an employee should possess to perform the job's essential functions successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee must sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel/hold objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, speak, hear, taste, and smell. Employee may occasionally lift, push/pull up to forty (40) pounds.

Majority of duties are in the laboratory setting and requires trips through the facility, including temperature extremes.
