Overview
Job Summary
Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient oues. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Receives, identifies,anizes, and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.
Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.
Performs quality control, proficiency testing and routine instrument maintenance and inventory control and document as required.
Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical error and/or adverse patient oues.
Assesses, evaluates and draws appropriate conclusions.
Follows regulatory requirements,petency requirements and maintains safe laboratory practice.
Completes assigned goals.

Minimum Required
Preferred/Desired
Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Education
Minimum Required
Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited MLT program, or successfulpletion of at least a 50 week official US military medical laboratory procedures training course and currently hold or have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist
