Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) -

Helena, MT Contract Length:

Weeks Shift:
Rotating | Primarily Evening 8-Hour Shifts (10-hour shifts and occasional day/night shifts as needed)
Start Date:
08/30/2026 Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The MLT will perform a wide range of laboratory testing procedures in a fast-paced clinical laboratory while ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality patient results across multiple laboratory disciplines.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Laboratory Technician experience Previous travel experience required Current ASCP MLT/CLS or AMT certification required Active Montana Laboratory License required Experience with Epic EMR and Sunquest Blood Bank preferred Experience with Siemens Aptio Line, Siemens Atellica analyzers, Sysmex XN9000, Sysmex UN3000 or Iris systems, Blood Bank gel methodology, and Microbiology setup preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, and Microbiology Process, analyze, and report laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently Perform blood bank testing, compatibility testing, and specimen processing Conduct gram stains and assist with microbiology specimen setup Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation Ensure quality control and quality assurance standards are met Accurately document laboratory results using Epic and Sunquest systems Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to support patient care
