Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment, makes observations, and calculates and records results; receives, types, tests, and records blood bank inventories.
Temporary for 2-3 months Job Summary A busy urology practice is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Technician to support laboratory operations and patient care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing specimens, performing laboratory testing, maintaining equipment, and accurately documenting and reporting results. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality patient care. Responsibilities Collect, prepare, process, and test patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures. Perform routine laboratory testing, including urinalysis and other diagnostic tests as required. Maintain, calibrate, clean, and verify the sterility of laboratory equipment and instruments. Ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and regulatory standards. Provide technical support to physicians, nurses, and clinical staff. Record, analyze, and present test results to physicians and senior clinical staff. Prepare accurate reports, summaries, and laboratory documentation. Manage specimen handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with established protocols. Maintain laboratory supplies and communicate inventory needs. Assist in implementing and monitoring quality assurance procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, or related field preferred. Previous laboratory experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and quality control practices. Experience in a urology, nephrology, or specialty practice is a plus.
Pay:
