Job Description
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Assistant Chemist for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Wilson, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on routine laboratory analytical testing, documentation, and reporting of pharmaceutical products and substances within a cGMP laboratory. The ideal candidate will operate various lab equipment, participate in investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory analytical testing, documentation, and reporting of potent and non-potent pharmaceutical drug product and drug substances Conduct dissolution, assay/degradate, content uniformity, and identity testing in a GMP laboratory Participate in laboratory investigations and root cause analysis Handle simple troubleshooting of instrumentation issues Participate in the daily tier processRequirements:
B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or other STEM related field Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. 5S, Kaizen, Hoshin, Standard Work) Knowledge of routine operation of laboratory equipment including but not limited to: Karl Fisher, pH meter, conductivity meter, UV, HPLC, Dissolution apparatus, etc Knowledge of regulatory, cGLP principals and cGMP principles Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) This position will require Beta Lactam screening and an Eye Exam Desired skills: Experience operating laboratory equipment: HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, NIR, etc Experience utilizing Empower Experience utilizing Labware/LIMS Experience performing root cause analysis Technical writing, including updating of standard operating procedures and writing quality notifications Knowledge of Tier processes Experience executing continuous improvement principles Pay range: up to $28.06 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
