A Medical Laboratory Technician helps with the performance of laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratories, which provide information for medical patient diagnosis and treatment. Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment, makes observations, and calculates and records results; receives, types, tests, and records blood bank inventories.

Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional is accredited by and received the Gold Seal of approval from The Joint Commission. #LI-CU1 Short Description In a CAP-accredited laboratory, perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing while ensuring accuracy and timely results through adherence to QC and QA methodologies. Maintain a strong focus on detail, reference ranges, and clinical relevancy. Assist with specimen receiving, respond to pneumatic tube requests, and handle phone inquiries with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills. Exhibit flexibility by working in all lab sections as needed. Experience Required Preferred experience in all lab sections. Experience with LIS (Laboratory Information System) is required. Education Requirements MLS (MT) or MLT certification through ASCP or eligibility. New grads are welcome to apply. License/Certification Requirements MLS (MT) or MLT certification preferred (ASCP).
