Job Description
Overview Looking to launch your career in the Geotechnical field? TerraSense, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician to join our team in Totowa, NJ. This is more than just a lab role. You'll gain hands-on experience testing soil, rock, concrete, and aggregate, learn industry-recognized ASTM and AASHTO standards, and work alongside experienced professionals who will help you grow your technical skills. If you're curious, motivated, and ready to learn, we'll provide the training and support to help you get started. Responsibilities Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications. Become proficient in soil and rock classification systems. Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients both verbally and in writing. Work independently with supervision. Work Environment may require regular exposure to bending, twisting, moderate to loud noise conditions and lifting weights of up to 75 lbs. Some weekend and overtime work may be required. Qualifications Training and certifications will be provided. Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Construction Management or Earth/Environmental Sciences is preferred.
