Job Title:
Lab Technician Job Description The Laboratory Technician is responsible for maintaining production and quality performance levels, as well as efficiently using manufacturing equipment. This role requires adherence to established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practice. The position will float between the Micro and Rubber Labs. Responsibilities Conduct daily testing on the site's water systems to ensure microbiological cleanliness requirements are met. Perform cleanliness level testing in cleanrooms to ensure appropriate surface and air quality. Carry out chemistry-related testing on raw materials, sample tests, and release batches according to SOPs. Conduct special tests or experiments as needed, including bioburden, endotoxin, particulate testing, swell, coring, fragmentation, penetration force, moisture analysis, volatile sulphides, percent ash, and UV absorbance. Evaluate and sample test Rubber and Aluminum raw materials and supplies according to SOPs & WIs for conformance to specifications. Sample, test, and release in-process rubber batches according to SOPs & WIs for conformance to formulation specifications, including durometer, specific gravity, visual inspection, turbidity, and spectrochemical analysis. Establish and maintain related electronic and hard files. Essential Skills Proficiency in microbiology, quality control, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), environmental monitoring, and aseptic technique. Experience with endotoxin and bioburden testing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related science. At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment; 3 years minimum experience preferred. Regulatory or Pharma experience in clean rooms (ISO 7 or better) is ideal. Work Environment The work environment includes both Micro and Rubber Labs, requiring adherence to cleanliness and safety standards. The position involves working in clean rooms with ISO 7 or better standards. The role requires strict compliance with established procedures, and candidates should be comfortable with both electronic and hard record maintenance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pennsauken, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
