POSITION

Lab Technician DHF Technical Products is a successful, innovative and fast-growing manufacturer in the heart of Rio Rancho and are one of the most trusted names in our industry. We are metal specialists and we are committed to delivering quality products, on-time, every time. At DHF we work hard but we also like to have some fun. We are currently looking for motivated and driven individuals to join our lab team. Work will be performed in a metal analytical laboratory. Work environment includes acids/bases, hot work areas, hoods, and industrial processes. Attention to detail is important since processes require accuracy in weighing samples.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• XRF analysis of metallic samples and sorting based on analysis requirements
• Acid hot plate digestion of samples as necessary
• Fire and Fusion Assay analysis of materials as necessary
• Cleaning of laboratory equipment and area daily
• Assisting in other tasks as directed

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Ideal candidate will have bachelor's degree in any science field; otherwise, minimum requirement is High School Diploma/GED, but Associates Degree preferred
• Basic knowledge of chemistry preferred
• Knowledge of Laboratory safety practices and procedures is desirable
• Ability to demonstrate strong initiative and a willingness to perform tasks unassigned
• Willingness to share and discuss ideas
• Strong attention to detail a must
• Strong communication and verbal skills
• Ability/Willingness to learn and write documentation
• Positive, can-do attitude, team-player with great internal customer service attitude very important!
• Knowledge of Laboratory safety practices and procedures is desirable, but not required
• Use of respirator required
• Ability to work overtime periodically
