$21.87-$22.86 per hour Position Overview Kaycha Labs is seeking a Lab Technician I to join its analytical laboratory team in Albany, NY. This is an entry-level laboratory opportunity for someone with a strong chemistry foundation and at least 6 months of professional, hands-on laboratory experience . The Lab Technician will support sample preparation, quality control procedures, laboratory documentation, and day-to-day analytical laboratory operations. This position is fully on-site and requires availability to work weekends as scheduled. Key Responsibilities Follow laboratory protocols and procedures under the direction of laboratory leadership. Perform sample preparation, including: Homogenization Weighing Liquid extraction Maintain proper laboratory technique to prevent sample contamination or misidentification. Perform assigned quality control procedures, including LCS and matrix spikes . Conduct qualitative and quantitative laboratory testing as assigned. Use the laboratory information management system (LIMS) to: Create batches Enter sample preparation information Maintain accurate physical and electronic records Follow

standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Properly handle and dispose of laboratory waste. Maintain accurate, organized laboratory documentation. Follow all laboratory safety policies and procedures. Support additional laboratory duties and projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field , based on applicable regulatory requirements. At least 16 college-level chemistry credits shown on your academic transcript. At least 6 months of professional laboratory experience. Working knowledge of standard laboratory procedures and techniques. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment while managing multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work fully on-site in Albany, NY, including weekends. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to successfully complete a Level 2 background check. Important Experience Requirement For this position, the client is specifically looking for candidates with professional hands-on laboratory experience outside of academic coursework . Experience may include work in analytical testing, environmental laboratories, cannabis/hemp testing, food testing, pharmaceutical laboratories, chemical laboratories, or similar professional laboratory environments. Pharmacy Technician experience does not qualify as professional laboratory experience for this position. College laboratory coursework alone does not meet the professional laboratory experience requirement. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Sample preparation Homogenization Weighing and liquid extraction LCS and matrix spikes Laboratory quality control

Employees may also be required to walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift or move up to approximately 35 pounds. Work Environment This position is performed in an analytical laboratory environment where employees may work around biological materials, hazardous substances, laboratory chemicals, and other potential laboratory hazards.
