Job Description
We're seeking a skilled, hands-on Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician to join our Long Island fabrication lab full-time. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to follow precise work orders and specifications. In this role, you'll collaborate with CPOs, technicians, and our office team to produce high-quality patient devices. Responsibilities include fabrication, modification, and repair of orthotic and prosthetic devices, as well as assisting with assembly, finishing, and overall lab support. Responsibilities Fabricate, modify, and repair custom orthotic and prosthetic devices according to work orders and practitioner specifications Cast preparation, filling, and stripping Plaster model modification Assist with device assembly and component fitting Perform finishing work including trimming, padding, and cosmetic finishing Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment Follow all quality control standards and accreditation guidelines Qualifications Prior experience in an O&P fabrication lab; minimum 1-2 years Ability to read and follow detailed work orders and clinical specifications Comfortable working with tools, materials, and fabrication equipment Team player with strong communication skills •Salary depends on experience.
