Job Description
Position Summary The Laboratory Technician supports quality and food safety standards by performing laboratory testing, product analysis, and pre-operational inspections. This role requires strong attention to detail, scientific understanding, and a sense of urgency, as accurate and timely results are critical to production, shipping, and customer satisfaction. The technician works closely with Production, Packaging, and Sanitation teams to ensure we consistently deliver safe, high-quality products. Key Responsibilities Perform pre-operational inspections in production departments using analytical instruments and visual equipment assessments Conduct analytical laboratory testing, including pulling and analyzing product samples within required timeframes Ensure accuracy of testing results to prevent production delays and customer service issues Operate laboratory equipment and systems according to established training and procedures Maintain accurate documentation, records, and charts in compliance with regulatory and internal standards Follow all current SOPs, quality programs, and food safety requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility Communicate and collaborate effectively with employees across departments Obtain and maintain required training, certifications, and licenses Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations Qualifications Science background required Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency in math related to laboratory testing and analysis Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assignments Professional, positive attitude with a strong work ethic Commitment to following all GMPs, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards
