GlobalFoundries in Malta NY is looking for a Sr. Lab Technician who has a 2-year associate's degree with up to 5 years of experience working in a characterization lab. Responsibilities include running the lab tools, taking measurements for DC/CV, S-parameters and Flicker Noise in the lab. The technician will be expected to work with the in-house software used as the test executive in the lab. This role is fully on-site at our 300mm semiconductor manufacturing facility, in Malta NY. The schedule will be a Monday- Friday daytime schedule.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operate high end tools in the Lab and take measurements at device level for specific test conditions as provided by the technology team or the modeling team Collaborate with your team to help with specific workloads such as logging the wafers in the lab in our lab software tools Assist with tool calibration and maintenance Continue learning new skill sets within the lab environment to help with new and exciting testing capabilities; develop more efficient processes Collaborate with cross functional teams for problem solving & debuggingOther Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor Required Qualifications Education- 2-Year Technical/associate's degree in science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline Experience
- minimum 0-5 years' experience in a Fabricator setting and/or working with electronics Capacity to understand new concepts and apply them during the measurements Possesses strong organizational skills to assist with logistics in the lab Excellent and effective communication skills Language Fluency
- English (both Written & Verbal)

Bachelor's degree in science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline Demonstrate coding skills and interest in coding Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor process and equipment Motivation to learn new concepts and be a team player Expected Salary Range $48,200.00- $83,200.
