Pearl River, NY 10965 Job description: We are seeking an entry-level to early-career Manufacturing Scientist/Engineer to support upstream operations within antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) manufacturing in an oncology-focused pharmaceutical environment. This role combines hands-on manufacturing with process ownership, continuous improvement, and technical problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Execute upstream manufacturing processes including: Fermentation Solvent-based recovery Multi-stage chemical synthesis Operate within a multi-step drug substance production process Prepare buffers and support in-house reagent production Own and execute assigned processes end-to-end (not shift hand-off based) Perform process monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
Support:
Continuous improvement (CI) initiatives Process qualifications and validation Tech transfers and new product introductions Author technical documentation, including: Reports SOPs Batch records Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams Work Environment & Schedule On-site, 5 days per week Standard hours: ~8:00 AM - 4:30/5:00 PM May require: Early or late shifts (~6+ times/year) Occasional weekend work (~2 times/year) Work requires flexibility—employees stay until work is complete Involves use of specialized PPE and handling of cytotoxic materials under strict safety protocols Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field Strong understanding of scientific principles and laboratory/manufacturing practices Ability to learn complex processes and equipment Preferred Qualifications Exposure to pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing Knowledge of GMP environments Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ideal Candidate Profile Entry-level or recent graduate (2-4 years' experience) Motivated to commit long-term (not short-term experience seekers) Comfortable with a non-routine, highly technical manufacturing environment Strong ownership mindset and adaptability Interview Process with Teams (1 or 2 Interview) Onsite _ No Remote Pearl River.
