Research Technician - R D Team Litron Laboratories Rochester, NY Job Details Full-time $45,000 - $50,000 a year 23 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description Litron Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our dynamic R D team. This position will support the development and optimization of an in vitro DNA damage assay. The successful candidate will apply techniques such as tissue culture and flow cytometry to investigate genotoxic responses. We are looking for a collaborative and proactive individual with strong communication skills and a solid foundation in core laboratory techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory experiments using techniques such as cell handling and flow cytometry. Prepare reagents, media, and solutions according to established protocols. Support the design, execution, and troubleshooting of experimental procedures. Analyze scientific problems, troubleshoot analytical methods and technical issues. Assist in data analysis, interpretation and documentation. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and electronic lab notebooks. Contribute to general lab operations, including equipment maintenance and supply management as needed. Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained by observing all safety procedures and working methods and by making proper use of protective clothing and equipment. Maintain confidential information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Toxicology, or a related field. Two or more years of relevant laboratory experience preferred; co-op positions and undergraduate research experience will be considered toward this requirement. Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques and protocols. Prior experience with flow cytometry or tissue culture is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
