Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Technician to support scientific and clinical research activities through laboratory experimentation, technical documentation, and data collection. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build expertise in Research & Development (R&D) by combining hands-on laboratory work with scientific knowledge gained through academic training in science or engineering disciplines. The Research Technician will assist in conducting experiments, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to innovation-driven projects. The role supports the achievement of technical milestones and helps solve routine scientific and technical challenges. Key Responsibilities Laboratory Operations Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Prepare samples, reagents, and materials required for experiments and testing. Ensure laboratory workspaces comply with safety, quality, and operational standards. Experimental Execution Conduct experiments and tests according to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor experimental processes, collect observations, and identify deviations or irregularities. Support research and development activities through accurate execution of assigned tasks. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory notebooks, records, and experimental logs. Document procedures, results, observations, and technical findings in a timely manner. Assist in preparing technical reports, summaries, and presentations for project teams. Technical Support & Problem Solving Apply scientific principles and analytical thinking to troubleshoot routine technical issues. Contribute to the development of technical knowledge and process improvements. Support project teams in achieving research objectives, innovation goals, and milestone deliverables. Collaboration Work closely with scientists, engineers, researchers, and cross-functional teams. Participate in team meetings and provide updates on experiment progress and outcomes. Maintain effective communication regarding research activities and project status. Required QualificationsEducation Bachelors Degree in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences , or a related field. Equivalent practical laboratory or research experience may be considered. Technical Knowledge Basic understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and scientific testing methodologies. Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and documentation practices. Knowledge of data recording, analysis, and reporting methods. Required Skills & Competencies Hands-on laboratory experimentation and procedural execution. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to follow protocols, SOPs, and quality standards. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Scientific observation and data interpretation capabilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Internship, academic research, or laboratory experience. Exposure to scientific instrumentation and laboratory information systems. Basic understanding of statistical analysis and data management tools. Experience working in a regulated scientific, clinical, or research environment is an advantage. NIT01
