A Medical Laboratory Technician helps with the performance of laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratories, which provide information for medical patient diagnosis and treatment. Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment, makes observations, and calculates and records results; receives, types, tests, and records blood bank inventories.

Job Description
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited program.
- ASCP or AMT Board eligible
- One year experience working as an MT/MLS preferred. The person fulfilling this position with the above qualifications must meet the CLIA requirements for Technical Supervisor, and function as Testing Personnel.
- Individuals without
ASCP/AMT
certification qualify as MLS I. Individuals withASCP/AMT
certification qualify asMLS II. OR
- Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
- ASCP or AMT Board eligible
- One year experience working as an MLT preferred. The person fulfilling this position with the above qualifications must meet the CLIA requirements for General Supervisor, and function as Testing Personnel.
