Job Description

The Lab Technician provides basic technical and operational support to laboratory personnel. This entry-level role performs routine laboratory and clerical tasks under direct supervision while following established procedures. The Lab Technician handles basic issues independently and escalates more complex matters to higher-level staff. High school diploma or equivalent required. 0-2 years of laboratory, manufacturing, or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately maintain records and documentation. Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard office software. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively under direct supervision. Provide basic technical and clerical support to laboratory personnel. Collect samples from designated locations throughout the plant. Clean, wash, sterilize, and distribute laboratory glassware. Maintain laboratory supply inventory, place orders, and verify incoming shipments. Operate laboratory equipment according to established procedures. Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Coordinate equipment repairs as needed. Maintain daily logs, equipment records, and other required documentation. Review data, identify routine issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
