The Lab Support Technician supports the daily operations of the Eugene site by providing hands-on laboratory support services to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient lab environments. This role assists with routine lab activities, including autoclaving, glasswashing, buffer and media preparation, PPE restocking, waste handling, EHS support, and basic equipment upkeep. The technician works closely with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate support activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure labs are operationally ready. This position plays a key role in maintaining lab standards and contributing to consistent, reliable lab operations. This position reports to the Lab Support Manager and is part of the Workplace Team located in Eugene, OR and will be an on‑site full‑time role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Perform core lab support operations, including autoclave use, glasswashing, buffer and media preparation, and maintaining adequate PPE stock for daily lab needs. Support lab safety and compliance activities by managing chemical and biological waste, and completing routine inspections of safety equipment such as eyewash stations and safety showers. Assist with equipment upkeep and service coordination, including basic preventative maintenance tasks, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support lab operations. The essential requirements of the job include: High school diploma or equivalent, with hands-on experience in a support role within laboratory, safety, facilities, or general workplace operations. Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, work with vendors, and keep clear and accurate records. Proficiency with standard office tools (such as email, calendars, spreadsheets, and ticketing systems) and comfort working in an on‑site, customer‑facing environment.
