Job Description
We have an opening for a full-time Laboratory Assistant. This position requires prior experience in a laboratory. This position works in our laboratory with our compounding technicians and chemists to prepare and maintain laboratory glassware, equipment and supplies throughout the workday. We have nine workstations that need restocked each morning and throughout the day. Several workstations use beakers and other glassware that need cleaned and restocked daily. This position follows different protocols for cleaning and restocking different stations and different equipment and supplies that are used by the compounding technicians. This position also performs daily tasks to keep the laboratory running smoothly such as trash collection, running a dishwasher and washer/dryer, ordering laboratory supplies, checking in freight, and box recycling. Other duties include keeping logs of work done, and special projects periodically. This position would be perfect for someone with limited experience wanting a career working in a laboratory or in the medical field. We are looking for someone who works well both independently and as part of a team. Must be a self-starter and have strong organizational skills and high integrity. Experience in a laboratory required. This position has a great work schedule. Schedule is M-F 9 or 10am-5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch. No nights or weekends. We offer health insurance to full-time employees, we have an IRA-based retirement program along with 2-weeks paid time off prorated annually.
