Baird Medical is seeking a knowledgeable, patient-focused Respiratory Sleep Technician to join our team. This individual will educate customers and complete setups for CPAP and BiPAP equipment, monitor therapy usage and compliance, troubleshoot equipment concerns, and assist customers with replacement supplies. This position includes local travel to affiliated sleep clinics and other off-site locations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical ability, and a compassionate approach to helping customers successfully begin and maintain their PAP therapy. Responsibilities Set up customers with CPAP and BiPAP machines, masks, humidifiers, and related supplies Educate customers on the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and care of their equipment Explain prescribed pressure settings and comfort features within the appropriate scope of the position Review mask options and assist customers with obtaining a comfortable and appropriate fit Provide clear instructions regarding therapy expectations and insurance compliance requirements Travel to sleep clinics and other off-site locations to complete PAP setups and provide customer support Monitor CPAP and BiPAP usage and compliance reports Contact customers who may be struggling to meet insurance compliance requirements Identify common therapy concerns, including mask leaks, low usage, discomfort, dryness, and pressure-related issues Troubleshoot machine errors, connectivity problems, humidification concerns, and basic equipment malfunctions Escalate clinical, prescription, or equipment concerns to the appropriate provider or team member Download and review usage information from PAP machines, SD cards, and online monitoring platforms Communicate with physicians and sleep clinics when updated prescriptions or clinical documentation are needed Assist customers with CPAP and BiPAP resupply orders Educate customers about replacement schedules for masks, cushions, tubing, filters, humidifier chambers, and related supplies Discuss copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and other out-of-pocket responsibilities with customers Collect payments and accurately document financial discussions when required Schedule setup, fitting, and follow-up appointments Maintain complete and accurate records of equipment setups, customer education, compliance activity, and follow-up communications Follow company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, infection-control practices, and patient privacy requirements Work collaboratively with sleep clinics, physicians, respiratory therapists, insurance staff, and internal customer-service teams Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience with CPAP, BiPAP, sleep therapy, respiratory equipment, or durable medical equipment is strongly preferred Respiratory therapy, sleep technology, or related healthcare education or experience is preferred Knowledge of PAP equipment, masks, accessories, and compliance requirements is a plus Comfortable reviewing usage and compliance reports Able to explain technical and insurance-related information in clear, easy-to-understand language Strong customer-service, communication, and patient-education skills Compassionate and patient when assisting customers who are new to PAP therapy Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail Comfortable learning new equipment, software, and online compliance-monitoring systems Able to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for local travel Ability to transport CPAP/BiPAP equipment and supplies to off-site appointments Bilingual skills are preferred Position Details Full-time position In-person work with local travel Mileage reimbursement for approved off-site travel Schedule and compensation will be discussed during the interview What We Offer Training on company procedures, equipment, and compliance-monitoring systems Paid time off Health insurance Consistent work schedule Supportive, team-oriented environment If you have experience with sleep therapy or respiratory equipment and enjoy educating customers, solving problems, and helping people succeed with their PAP therapy, we encourage you to apply.
