Position Summary:
Frontage Laboratories is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our CMC Analytical Services team. This position provides essential laboratory support to scientists by ensuring the laboratory operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for laboratory organization, equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, sample support, inventory management, and general laboratory operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a collaborative laboratory environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support daily laboratory operations within the CMC Analytical Services group by working closely with scientists, Sample Management, and Metrology teams. Clean, inspect, and maintain laboratory glassware and equipment to ensure readiness for use. Perform routine equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, and maintain associated documentation. Assist with sample receipt, logging, labeling, storage, retrieval, and chain-of-custody documentation. Prepare laboratory reagents and other solutions according to approved procedures. Maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with SOPs and cGMP requirements. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inspection readiness through routine housekeeping. Assist with chemical inventory management, including labeling, storage, expiration monitoring, and disposal. Support laboratory investigations and documentation activities as needed. Follow all laboratory safety procedures, company policies, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines. Participate in training activities and maintain required training records. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific discipline preferred. Skills & Experience Previous laboratory experience through academic coursework, internships, or industry experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently move throughout the laboratory and facility. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including laboratory coats, gloves, and safety glasses. Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving manual dexterity, including pipetting, lifting laboratory supplies, and handling laboratory equipment.
