$33-35/hour Job Description Lighthouse Lab Services is currently partnering with a private urology practice near Reading, PA, to find a Laboratory Technician with experience in automated urinalysis (AutoUA) and PCR testing . This is an excellent opportunity for a laboratory professional looking to join a stable, growing laboratory in a laid-back clinical environment. The laboratory is preparing to launch automated urinalysis testing through SciTech and operates a PCR laboratory within a high-complexity CLIA environment . The ideal candidate will have hands-on PCR experience and at least one year of experience working in a high-complexity CLIA laboratory. Responsibilities Perform automated urinalysis (AutoUA) testing and related laboratory procedures Perform PCR testing in a high-complexity CLIA laboratory Process and prepare clinical specimens for testing Perform quality control and ensure testing is performed according to established procedures Review and document laboratory results accurately Troubleshoot testing and instrumentation as needed Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies Utilize the SkyLab LIS for laboratory and specimen documentation Follow CLIA, laboratory safety, and quality assurance requirements Assist with additional laboratory duties as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-complexity CLIA laboratory Previous PCR/molecular testing experience Experience with automated urinalysis (AutoUA) preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established laboratory procedures Ability to work independently in a clinical laboratory setting Experience with an LIS; SkyLab experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits $33-38/hour Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Some schedule flexibility Health, vision, and dental insurance Employer covers approximately 85% of health insurance premiums 401(k) available after one year Catered lunches Relaxed, laid-back work environment Opportunity to contribute to the launch and development of new automated urinalysis testing About the Laboratory This private urology practice is expanding its laboratory capabilities with the implementation of automated urinalysis testing while continuing to operate its PCR laboratory. The laboratory is transitioning away from pathology and cytology services and will focus on its molecular and urinalysis testing operations. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a smaller, relaxed clinical environment and will bring strong technical laboratory skills, particularly in PCR and automated urinalysis.
