Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Contract Quality Control Lab Technician & Operations Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and quality of our products through meticulous laboratory testing and operational excellence. The Quality Control Lab Technician and Operations Associate will learn tasks specific to the monitoring and control of mixing blends and chemicals used in this organization's facility. The Quality Control Lab Technician will be expected to analyze daily raw materials and finished goods samples. They will be familiar with the operation and standardization of laboratory equipment, as well as maintaining a clean and organized laboratory setting. Quality Control Lab Technicians will also be expected to perform recordkeeping of tests and maintain inventory of chemicals used by the Lab on a regular basis. This position of Quality Control Lab Technician and Operations Associate entails laboratory product testing, job management, inventory management, receiving, shipping, logistics, job costing and other duties as assigned. You will be required to work in all ALS locations when needed and would be commuting. Responsibilities Perform quality test using Viscometers, IR, Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP), Karl Fisher, Density Meter, etc. Maintaining regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule Responsible to maintain target calibration, preventative maintenance, and acceptable performance of test lab equipment Responsible for performing finished product inspection as submitted by blending operations Responsible for following test protocols. Lab accurately records testing results, communicates Pass/Fail to all parties, and retests reworked batches Responsible to maintain samples for each batch blend & store samples Responsible to maintain record of receiving of Certificate of Analysis (COA's) of raw materials Responsible to store and maintain copies of COA's for all finished goods Responsible to perform product returns inspections Perform other duties, as assigned related to Quality Control Department Maintain a clean and organized lab Recordkeeping of tests Maintain chemicals used by the QC Lab Analyze daily raw materials and finished goods samples Proper recordkeeping Report testing daily Equipment calibrations Maintain ERP transactions related to Quality Control Test new additive Product & prototype testing Follow all Safety & cleanliness policies & procedures Experience Proven industrial laboratory experience with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures GED or High School diploma required.
