Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Lab Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. In this vital role, you will perform precise laboratory testing, ensure compliance with industry standards, and uphold the integrity of our scientific processes. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest quality standards in our laboratory operations, supporting product development, and ensuring regulatory adherence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact the quality and safety of our products. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using advanced laboratory techniques and instruments. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in accordance with laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring traceability and compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. Perform microbiological analyses, including sterile techniques and microbial testing, to verify product safety and stability. Utilize molecular biology techniques such as
PCR, DNA/RNA
extraction, and other research methods to support product characterization. Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling and biological materials. Assist in laboratory research projects by collecting data, analyzing results, and preparing reports for review by senior scientists. Ensure laboratory safety through proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), adherence to chemical handling safety procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment when necessary. Requirements Proven experience working in an industrial or clinical laboratory setting with knowledge of
GLP, CGMP, FDA
regulations, microbiology, histology, molecular biology techniques, and laboratory procedures. Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols, sterile techniques, chemical handling procedures, and compliance standards. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications for data entry, report writing, and record keeping; familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is preferred. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately while maintaining meticulous documentation of all research activities. Experience working with laboratory instruments such as microscopes, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, pipettes, incubators, and other specialized equipment. Knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus for those involved in animal-related research settings. Ability to follow detailed SOPs consistently while demonstrating strong organizational skills for effective lab record keeping. Prior experience in microbiology, cell culture techniques, molecular biology methods, or histology is highly desirable. Strong mathematical skills for data analysis and interpretation within research & development projects.
