Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Internal Candidate Posting Sign-on Bonus:

Up to $10,000 (Based on Eligibility) Position Summary The Medical Laboratory Technician processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens, reviews and reports lab results, and performs operational duties. This role involves maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment while acting as a resource to other laboratory personnel. This position carries additional advanced clinical and operational responsibilities within the department. Responsibilities Processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens. Reviews and reports laboratory results accurately. Performs operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Acts as a clinical and operational resource to other laboratory personnel.

Advanced Responsibilities:

May include billing and inventory management; equipment selection, validation, and implementation; document control (SOPs); and training/competency assessment, quality, and performance. Performs related duties as required. Qualifications Required Education Associate degree or equivalent experience. Graduate of an accredited school of medical laboratory technicians or equivalent. Meets required criteria as defined by CLIA regulations for High Complexity testing (42 CFR 493.1489, Jan. 24, 2003). Required Experience 2 years of experience as a medical laboratory technician.

Certification & Licensure Registration:

Registered in accordance with an approved certifying agency ( ASCP, AMT , or equivalent).

Licensure:

Must hold valid licensure as required by state law.
