Support laboratory operations by executing laboratory procedures and techniques aligned with clinical standards. Document patient information, laboratory data, and specimen details accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality. Assist with patient care activities across various age groups including geriatrics and pediatrics, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures. Follow infection control protocols such as aseptic technique and proper blood collection methods like venipuncture and phlebotomy. Support hospital staff by performing routine tasks such as data entry, vital signs measurement, and specimen processing under supervision. Skills Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection including venipuncture and blood sampling. Experience with medical laboratory work, including handling specimens with precision and adhering to safety standards. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for accurate data entry and record keeping. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical laboratory practices essential for effective patient care. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport specimens or equipment safely. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR required; additional certifications in phlebotomy or laboratory techniques preferred.
