They practice autonomously, demonstrate critical thinking, and actively participate in quality improvement and LEAN initiatives, analyzing data to enhance care. The role includes mentoring staff, facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and supporting department initiatives. Qualifications include a valid RN license, a healthcare-related degree (BSN preferred), minimum 2 years of clinical experience, and possibly supervisory experience. Certifications like BLS and ACLS are required. Work involves night shifts, rotating weekends, and no travel, with a focus on leadership, education, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
