Job Description
Lab Technician Position Overview The Lab Technician plays a key role in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for obtaining and processing blood and specimen samples, performing limited clinical tests, and accurately handling related documentation. The Lab Technician supports both clinical and administrative functions by providing patient instruction, maintaining accurate records, managing supply inventory, and delivering specimens and reports as needed. Additionally, this role assists with customer service duties, such as greeting patients, answering calls, and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel. The technician must be able to interact professionally with patients of all age groups—from neonates to older adults—and apply appropriate age-specific standards while collecting specimens or providing instructions. Through attention to detail, strong communication skills, and adherence to safety and compliance protocols, the Lab Technician ensures efficient lab workflow and contributes to a positive patient experience.
