Bonus Potential Summary/Objective The Lab Assistant is responsible for completing moderate complex testing and carry out basic laboratory procedures. This clinical position must provide support to the laboratory and will receive phlebotomy training and assist when needed. The Lab Assistant must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. Essential Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assist with the rotating and stocking of laboratory supplies. Must process specimens in the send out department. Perform all procedures utilizing Standard Precautions to minimize the potential for exposure potential to self and others. Records all results of quality controls and patient testing accurately. Receive, process and deliver all specimens in a timely fashion to ensure prompt turnaround times. Must notified patient care associate of results in a timely manner with immediate reporting of critical values. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent 6 months of experience in related field. Required License/Certifications N/A
