Job Description

  • Day Shift | 4x10 Schedule (Monday - Thursday) |
  • Fridays Off
  • Employment Type:
  • Contract-to-Hire (3-month probationary period)

  • Position Overview
  • The Laboratory Support Technician performs a vital range of duties to maintain the operational efficiency of the Quality Control (QC) and Research & Development (R D) laboratories. This role focuses on equipment maintenance, sample preparation, and rigorous adherence to safety and cleaning protocols.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Laboratory Maintenance & Glassware
  • + Collect, wash, and dry glassware using automated dishwashers or manual hand-washing methods. + Restock glassware cabinets across QC Products, Raw Materials, and R D departments. + Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and compliant lab environment. + Check and replace broken glassware collection boxes as needed.
  • Technical Support & Sample Prep
  • + Prepare dissolution baths for QC Scientists, including cleaning and filter changes. + Mill and grind tablets into powder form following specific analytical methods and SOPs. + Conduct physical testing on tablets, including
  • Sieve analysis, hardness testing, and friability.
  • + Perform calibrations on specified laboratory equipment as assigned.
  • Waste Management & Safety
  • + Empty HPLC/GC sample waste vials. + Neutralize acid/base waste and manage the collection/removal of equipment solvent waste. + Maintain weekly and monthly sanitization logs for purified water use points.
  • Documentation & Administration
  • + Maintain accurate logs for glassware washer operations, tablet milling, and carboy usage. + Organize, package, and file records for movement or permanent storage. + Assist the QC Laboratory Clerk with receiving consumables and processing sample shipments.
  • Qualifications

Education:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). +
  • Experience:
  • 1-3 months of related experience or specialized training in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. +
  • Skills:
  • High attention to detail, ability to follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and strong organizational skills.
  • Physical Requirements & Training
  • + Must be able to perform repetitive tasks (washing, grinding, filing).
