Job Description The CMT Lab Technician I plays a hands-on role in ensuring the quality of construction materials used in infrastructure projects across Central Texas. Based in our Dripping Springs lab, this role supports testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete—work that directly contributes to safe roads, durable structures, and thriving communities. Core Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and related materialsInsert responsibility Follow established test procedures, safety protocols, and written instructions Accurately document test results and maintain organized lab records Support lab operations, including equipment setup, cleanup, and sample handling Assist with field or lab-related driving needs as required Work safely and collaboratively as part of a quality-focused team You'll thrive here if you have Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time A valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check Clear communication skills and willingness to follow detailed procedures Comfort with basic math (high school level) and learning technical processes Flexibility to work occasional weekends when project needs require Interest in earning certifications and growing your technical skills What you can expect from us The A-Team Experience is our employee program focused on helping our people thrive professionally, personally and as part of a community.
