What they do
A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Required Qualifications:
Upon hire: National Certified Polysomnographic Technician- Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Or Upon hire: National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
- Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Upon hire: National Provider BLS
- American Heart Association Complete a minimum of 18 months of clinical experience where the duties performed are primarily polysomnography, OR Complete a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience where he duties performed are primarily polysomnography, and the applicant holds a credential in an allied health field accepted by the BRPT (e.
Preferred Qualifications:
Coursework/Training and Successful completion of an accredited course in polysomnographic testing.
