PM Pay Range:

$17.50

•$20.50 per hour (based on training and stage progression) About the Role We are seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician I to support essential laboratory operations. No prior professional laboratory experience is required; comprehensive training is provided! You will start in Molecular Biology (sample receiving, DNA extraction, PCR) and progressively cross-train into Microbiology . Key Responsibilities Receive, accession, and track incoming laboratory samples with high accuracy. Prepare samples, weigh materials using an analytical balance, and use laboratory equipment (pipettes, centrifuges). Perform manual/automated DNA extraction and PCR-related workflows following SOPs. Maintain strict quality control, contamination prevention, and biosafety standards. Accurately record data and maintain sample traceability throughout the workflow.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in Biology or a closely related biological science. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Ability to follow detailed written procedures and work independently after training. Basic computer proficiency and readiness to work full-time on-site. Compensation & Benefits Stage 1 (Mol Bio Training): $17.50/hr Stage 2 (Mol Bio Qualified): $18.50/hr Stage 3 (Mol & Micro Qualified): $20.50/hr 8 paid holidays and 5 PTO days per year (after 90 days). 5 paid vacation days per year (after 1 year). \nCompany Description We are an environmental microbiology and molecular testing laboratory located in San Antonio, TX.
